British researchers have recently made a zip code in order to map the locations of which can cause allergies are different.
This step is linked with efforts to investigate the environment as a cause of allergy is experienced by humans. As quoted from the Guardian website, a third of the UK population suffers from allergies.
"Allergy is increasing in England, but until now, still a bit of research on allergy based on the geographic region," said Ray Jones, a researcher from the University of Plymouth.
By evaluating the 6000 referral of 672 family doctors in the area of Devon and Cornwall (southern England), mail consulting, data population, and disease statistics, British scientists have mapped the region hotspot allergies that were increasingly developing.
Audit reveals that many people who suffer from certain allergies, is associated with the location of their residence. Air allergies, particularly to pollen, in the UK are commonly experienced by people residing in northern Dartmoor and Exmoor.
As for food allergies, particularly peanut allergy, usually by the citizens of South Harris diidap. While seafood allergies (seafood) are often found on the citizens of the West Cornwall and Padstow area.
"We conclude that there are environmental influences on allergy, allergy either single or allergies caused by many factors," said Jones.
Therefore postcode map is expected to be a reference-checking allergies based on a broad range of demographic, as well as find out what allergies are experienced by every individual.
From the latest Mintel research, more than 20 million people in the UK, claimed to suffer from allergies: 44 percent of them are adults. In addition, 48 percent of respondents also said that they have more than one kind of allergy. Research also revealed that only 49 percent of allergy sufferers have been diagnosed medically.
While the research the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence found that nearly two thirds of patients diagnosed with allergies allergy air, and some of whom suffer from a combination of pollen allergy, dust mites and animal dander.
In addition, some are experiencing sensitivity to some types of food allergies. For example they have an allergy to dairy products as well as eggs simultaneously.
